Advancements in HIV Treatment and Prevention with Dr. Lucas Hill
- The shift from daily oral medications to less frequent dosing options
- New once-daily pill combinations, including bictegravir/lenacapavir (called BIC/LEN) and doravirine/islatravir, currently in development
- Weekly oral HIV treatments in Phase 2 clinical trials
- Long-acting injectable options, including broadly neutralizing antibodies (bNAbs) combined with lenacapavir for potential every-6-month treatment intervals
- Considerations surrounding two-drug versus three-drug HIV treatment regimens
- Future PrEP options, including potential every-4-month and every-6-month injectable therapies

shared information regarding an upcoming mental health survey study for people living with HIV in San Diego County. She is currently completing final coordination steps with local organizations and plans to return soon to begin participant recruitment.
The survey:
- Takes approximately 20–30 minutes to complete
- Offers a $10 Visa gift card for participation
- Is available in English and Spanish
- Seeks to gather quantitative data on mental health factors, including stigma, access to care, and social support
- Aims to recruit 75–150 participants from diverse demographic group
